tiger

You guys have never met Tiger and Ginger on my blog. And they are already ten months old and Tiger had an ‘oops’ litter.

Well, we got them sometime in January 2016(I can’t remember any exact dates) as tiny little kittens, Ginger at 8 weeks and Tiger at 7 weeks.

But in the past, we’ve always been ‘no cats allowed’, despite my frequent attempts to get one. So, how come we got kittens? It all begin when we went to a pet shop to get some food and accessories for our many animals. And there is this cage of cute kittens, three of them climbing all over the place. So aww.

My brother is not like me because he won’t sit to tickle and want every. Single. Animal. He comes across like I do. So rather surprisingly, he also sat down to ‘want’ these kittens. For the majority of the time we spent in the shop I was sitting there, right by them, my eye fixed on a cute black tabby who was nearest to me. My brother came on and off to them as well. But, we didn’t get any cats and left with an unhappy me.

My brother has usually been a big fan of cats; cute cat, cuddly cat, white cat, fluffy cat, brown cat, he supposedly* loved cats.

When we left the shop, I was trying to talk everyone into getting a kitten or two, but unfortunately, it transformed into a discussion about the responsibilities and the damage etc… they could do. We initially wanted them for rat control(Wasn’t the only reason for me), but we were skeptical whether they would do rat control. We debated about how will we keep them outdoors and not let them come indoors and a whole lot of discussions.

But in the car, my brother made an 180-degree u-turn and claimed he didn’t want the kittens, for whatever reason. So I was left alone to change everyone’s minds, but I managed to, and while no one was very happy, we went the next weekend and got them. The same black tabby(female, now known as Tiger) I was seeing the other day was still available as well as a not-so-active sleepy ginger cat(male, now knows as Ginger). So we brought them home.

We were joking that obviously, Tiger would catch our rats all alone.

They’ve grown lots.

By now, you’re probably wondering why the title for the article says, ‘The kittens and their kittens”. Well, that is because Tiger and Ginger had kittens before we could get Tiger spayed.

And they were week old on Saturday!

They’re eyes begin opening into little slits a few days ago, it was so cute! By now, their eyes are in the ‘sleepy-eye’ stage and have started looking at me and reaching out to sniff my hand. They’re turning two weeks old tomorrow, and they should start hearing soon and also walking.

So, bye until next time.
