Hey y’all…
Now I know and you know I have been really super inactive.. But um sorry for that. Maybe it’ll happen again and maybe not!
So, while I was gone on a super long break, (the fact I’ve only got two posts:) what have you been doing? Well, I started horse riding, Got a couple of lessons, got sick, all that kinda stuff. Oh, and I just got back after my super long break from Instagram.. :O. Anyways, just a last News, IMPORTANT news, breaking news, poof. It is, of course horse riding related so ya. Since we started riding recently on 29 nov 2014, TBE*, we never did really canter. we walked (boring) and trotted, trotted in circles and over poles (getting interesting) and jumping position, with and without stirrups (which was kinda a nightmare :O) and a bit more. But guess what we were told on tuesday by my/our instructor?! WE ARE STARTING CANTER SOON!!! but on the other side of things, she tells us we will practice sitting trot :O. But who cares when you about to start CANTERING after like 3 whole years.
But I do believe we should stop right here.
Today I am posting something you might have been waiting for, IDK. It’s something horsish.
Horse riding tips. I mean, I am still learning myself, but who cares?.
Horse riding is a sport(badluck to those who say no that :P), and a difficult sport. The fact is, why it’s so difficult is, because, say in cricket, or soccer or driving, a ball or car has no will, no tiring no pain, no nothing. Of course that doesn’t mean you can go on driving like a maniac. (:|) But in horse riding, a horse has his own will. She is bigger, stronger, has her own will, and can turn against you if it wants to. God built these creatures to serve humans. But a horse could be tired, sick, aching, hurt, weak, everything. Just like us, horses are living creatures (every fool knows that, IK) and of course that means that just like us, they have there own wish, will. they can get hurt. they can get tired, all that stuff.
So here are a few tips for riders. (I am learning myself but I’d just like to share out a few tips that help)
-
Be gentle with your horse. Remember what I wrote above. They have that metal bit in their mouth. So you don’t wanna go on yanking the reins. Imagine yourself having that terrible bit in your mouth. Imagine somebody yanking it. Wouldn’t it hurt? so think for your horse the same way and be gentle, and your horse listens more. They wont for nothing hold a mean rider on there back. so be gentle.

Relax. Don’t be tense. If you have trouble staying relax, and keep on tensing up, then try imagining your riding peacefully on a beach, in the night (beach is just a example i mean some place you like), with the water on your horses hooves the only sound, in the peaceful moonlight, all lights of, no sounds, all peaceful stuff(don’t let your imagination carry you away so you forget to hold the reins :P). that helps you relax and not tense up.
I guess that’s all. Oh and remember to keep long reins, or your horse wont move (IK everybody knows that)!
see ya’ll next time!!
NOTE:
** if you’re not in the wild world of insta abbreviations that IDK if you know the meaning for TBE. TBE is for to be exact 😛
